The journey begins

D-Day came. Yesterday we had our bicycles waiting in our garages, splendid with their suitcases full of hopes and dreams… about 50 kilograms of things we do not know if we need!

We got on our saddles with no knowledge of how they would work. Surprise was that despite the experience in other trips of Manel he could not go in a straight line, the trailer is a naughty friend! We met in Dosrius around 9:45 and go headed to Argentona, where family and friends joined to support us in our departure.

They were unforgettable moments, to see so many dear people meeting for an end to as our round the world. It was a cocktail of feelings and emotions impossible to explain in words.

At 11:15 our mothers came together to give us the starting gun.Around the world began! We start to our first day with a small escort of 5 friends who joined us on a bicycle towards our first destination, Vallcanera, where we waited 4 more friends and parents of Manel.

The day was quite complete. We had sun, clouds, rain, an eccentric old woman, two punctures, several outlets of chains and a wheel  get off from its place. You can not ask for more, at this rate manufacturers of tube will be made of gold with us.

We want to thank all the expressions of support, both of those who attended the departure as those who joined us and wrote on social networks. THANK YOU!

A hug to everyone!!

    2. “Cuando emprendas tu viaje a Itaca
pide que el camino sea largo,
lleno de aventuras, lleno de experiencias.
      [ … ]
Que muchas sean las mañanas de verano
en que llegues -¡con qué placer y alegría!-
      a puertos nunca vistos antes.
      [ … ]
Mas no apresures nunca el viaje.
      Mejor que dure muchos años
y atracar, viejo ya, en la isla,
enriquecido de cuanto ganaste en el camino
      [ … ]”

    4. Jesus was tested on every level, just like us, he had to live in the world and endure all the same kinds of temptations we do–having a wife, even a family, would to me, make him all the more Grace to me–but then again–actually, I am just thinking of one of my old churches and the glares I would have just had thrown at me for saying Jesus was a Man. XD Yah, I’ve been out of the system way to long…But you know, that’s just the thoughts of an uneducated female rambling Christian You make it sound much more fancy Josh.
